The Chairman and CEO Bang Si-hyuk of the seven-member widely popular South Korean group BTS has become a billionaire. Bang’s company, Big Hit Entertainment, went public on the stock market, making Chairman Bang the largest stockholder.
Music group BTS scored big when they became the first Korean act to top Billboard’s Hot 100 with their single “Dynamite.” Even Korean President Moon Jae-in tweeted, “BTS wrote a new K-pop history.” The President continues, “It is a splendid achievement, elevating the pride of K-pop.
