Squid Game’s Hoyeon Jung will make her American Vogue cover debut in February 2022. The South Korean fashion model turned actress has been rising in the star ranks ever since her appearance in Squid Game, the all time #1 most watched show on Netflix.
Vogue is a 129 year old international fashion magazine with editions all over the world but American Vogue is considered the most prestigious and most difficult to be chosen for the cover. This is the first time an East Asian is featured solo on the cover of American Vogue. Korean actress/model Bae Doona shared the cover with Scarlett Johansson and Deepika Padukone in 2019, and Chinese model Liu Wen appeared in a group shot in 2017.
