Class Schedule

All classes meet once a week for 10 weeks for a total of 17.5 classroom hours. Most classes meet for 1 hour and 45 minutes. The exceptions are Beginning I and II on Saturday Classes which meets for 10 weeks that last 2 hours each, for a total of 20 hours of instruction.
Placement Exam
First-time students who wish to take Introductory II or higher-level classes must take a placement test.
The following placement tests will allow you to evaluate your existing level of Korean online so that you can enroll for the most suitable course for you. There are two placement tests available: Introductory Placement Exam and Intermediate Placement Exam. Please click on the links above to direct you to the appropriate test.
Allow up to 45 minutes for the exam. It would be appreciated if you could time yourself while taking the exam. Once you have completed and submitted the exam, contact Jahee Yu, Program Director through contact forum or call at (212) 792-7923 to schedule a brief oral exam to finalize the course level most appropriate for you.
