Divorcees compete to find true love while living together for a week in a beautiful resort mansion
The twist in Season 4 of “Love After Divorce” is that the contestants are all Korean Americans. This year the popular Korean reality television series decided to take a more global approach with the couples and its filming location, in Cancun, Mexico.
Each week, contestants share tantalizing bits of their personal and professional backgrounds including age and number of children. This year, one divorcee impressed fellow castmates with a glittering resume featuring time spent as an executive at TikTok, Meta and Netflix, while others revealed their professional status as bankers, lawyers, and engineers. The reasons for their divorces were quite varied and often heartbreaking.
The divorcees compete to find true love while living together for a week in a beautiful resort mansion. “Love After Divorce” Season 4 features ten Korean American men and women who are introduced to each other after arriving in Cancun and go through a series of activities to get to know each other. They are sent on group activities as well as one-on-one dates, while also being allowed free time where it’s up to them to mingle and go after their heart’s desire.
This was the first dating reality television program to feature all divorced individuals when the first season of “Love After Divorce” premiered in 2021. It turned out that watching divorcee romances can be quite compelling since they bring more complexity to their potential relationships. Fans of the series love the “realness” of the contestants’ search for second chances especially since there are no cash rewards or prizes like many other reality shows.
