As someone who’s kept very busy during this quarantine, I (along with probably many others) am beginning to run out of Netflix and Hulu options. Due to this unexpected shortage of binging options, I’ve turned to Youtube as a great platform to add to my streaming app rotation.
Youtube is now the second most visited site after Google and over 5 billion videos are watched every single day. There are tons of Korean YouTubers tailored to essentially any kind of video you’re looking for.
Below are 9 of my favorites varying from popular channels with 5.69M followers to lesser known but exciting up and comers. Enjoy and don’t stay up too late watching!
-Food-
Maangchi cooks hundreds of authentic Korean recipes right in front of you. She also has a second channel where she teaches how to write and pronounce the names of popular Korean dishes.
Sio is a Korean mukbanger who hosts his own eating show based in Korea. Though his shows are non-talking and only-eating, he includes English subtitles in his intros and outros.
This ASMR cooking account features recipes of various dishes, emphasizing extraordinary Korean desserts- all visually (and audibly) aesthetic!
-Makeup and K-Beauty-
Jen is a beauty blogger & Youtube guru who encourages and promotes inner beauty and confidence while sharing beauty tips, reviews, style inspiration, as well as her life as a mother and wife.
Pony (or Hye-Min Park) is a Korean makeup guru with detailed tutorials narrated in Korean with English subtitles, making it easy to follow along. (Fun fact, she is k-pop star CL’s makeup artist!)
This popular Korean beauty vlogger is located in South Korea and is most known for her themed makeup tutorials. Her videos are also narrated in Korean with English subtitles.
-Fashion-
Jenn Im is an Korean American vlogger and fashion designer. While she is best known for her YouTube channel, she has her own clothing brand Eggie.
Irene Kim is a Korean American model, beauty and fashion blogger, and television personality. She is most known by her social media moniker, “Ireneisgood“.
Jamie uses her Youtube channel to share her passion for fashion, her personal life updates, and the beautiful city of Seoul.
