The Korean American Community Foundation Annual Gala will be held virtually on Thursday May 13, 2021. The KACF Gala brings together hundreds of philanthropists from around the world to celebrate progress in driving solutions to build the economic security of low-income Asian American individuals and families. This year, their work is especially significant as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to disproportionately impact the most vulnerable members of Korean and Asian American communities.
This year the Gala Honorees are Oscar winner Yuh-jung Youn and actor/activist Daniel Dae Kim. Golden Globe winner Awkwafina will also join the gala as the recipient of the Trailblazer Award, and Congresswoman Marilyn Strickland will be a Special Guest. The event emcee will be Juju Chang.
The KACF Gala aims to spotlight “Visibility + Voice” during this unprecedented year of challenge. They will be honoring those leaders who have been inspirational in using their own visibility to highlight the plight of so many vulnerable Korean and Asian Americans, and who are using their voices to speak out against the anti-Asian racism and violence that has skyrocketed in the last year. Your Gala support will unlock record-breaking funding for our community.
